See the blue arrow on 9th Street closest to L Street? That's where we park, entering from L.

Dennis encourages you to call his cell when you are arriving. Dennis said: "Please call or text me at my (916) 870-4691 cell # when your band members are about to start arriving so that I can make sure that you all get into PD controlled entrance/exit gate on 9th Street north of Capitol Mall."

Hi Kevin,
First of all, we are very grateful, glad, and excited that The Rotary Rockers will make their public debut and play at this year’s event!
The Rotary Rockers will play 1, 1-hour set between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., including a meal, beverage, water and free parking for each of your band members as well as the continued promotion of The Rotary Rockers in our event promo materials and on event banners and signage, as is generally laid out below here.
  • Saturday, October 6, 2018 on Capitol Mall between8th and 9th Streets (please see event Site Plan attached here).
Bike ride portion of event is to start about 7:00 a.m. and consists of four rides that start and end at closed off area of Capitol Mall from 8th Street to 9th Streets, with four ride alternatives of Full 100 mile century, Metric Century (100km/62miles), 50-mile ½ Century, and short family Fun Ride, all of which rides will go out across Tower Bridge and south along Sacramento River and back.
  • Post-Ride “Party” part of event will start around 11:00 a.m. and go until 6:00 p.m. and include SactoMoFo food trucks and beer and wine festival and 2 other live bands.
  • Your band will play 1, 1-hour set on shaded/canopied Stage with 2 band hospitality and equipment storage tents provided by us behind Stage and with sound system also provided by us through Bianchi Sound, and with other event details for your band being as follows –
    • 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. – Load-in/set-up (w/ last 10 minutes of this time period for sound check), with band load-in/out being from street area of 9th Street north of Capitol Mall which will be accessible through Sacramento Police Department (PD) controlled entrance/exit gate on 9th Street north of Capitol Mall as indicated on attached event Site Plan (we plan to have small flatbed utility vehicle to help with load-in/out). Since The Rotary Rockers are the opening band, you can start your load-in/set-up earlier than 11:00 a.m. if you would like. Please just let me know if you would like to do this.
    • Band member parking will be available in area of 9th Street north of Capitol Mall or, since parking there will be limited, band members can also load-in and then park their vehicles in 500 Capitol Mall/Bank of the West Tower parking garage entered from north side of N Street just east of 5th Street (please see attached Event Parking Map), using all-day free parking validation ticket that we will provide.
    • Please call or text me at my (916) 870-4691 cell # when your band members are about to start arriving so that I can make sure that you all get into PD controlled entrance/exit gate on 9th Street north of Capitol Mall.
    • 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Performance – 1, 1-hour set.
    • 12:30 p.m. to 12:40 p.m. – Take-down/load-out. Please note that adhering to above time-frames is critical for keeping our “tight” schedule for 3 band performances and everything associated with them on-time.
    • I or one of our Band Hospitality people will make sure that each of your band members receive complimentary meal and beverage ticket and get ID’ed and wrist-banded for alcoholic beverages when you’re ready for that.

Again, thanks
so much, and we are all very much looking forward to The Rotary Rockers playing at this year’s event!

The Set List

Here's a link to the master playlist.

There was video!

Check out the video clip from Robyn DeLong's Facebook page. We sound way better than I thought we did!

https://www.facebook.com/robyndelong/videos/10157463751902977/

It's Official. We Rock.

Thanks to everyone for putting in the time to make today's performance such a success. We got a ton of compliments and I've gotten some laudatory emails too.

LaToya getting a standing O was so fantastic. And people spontaneously applauded one of Tom's solos.

Also, it turns out that Rita Gibson is a big Nick Lowe fan.

If anyone gets pictures, let me know.

Onward to the Sac Century!

P.S. How about July 29 for the next practice? Please comment below to indicate your availability.
